Connecting Claude, ChatGPT and Grok (beta)
Letting the AI you already use work with your workspace.
You can connect the AI you already use to your Memospace workspace. All three connections are in beta, so you may hit the odd rough edge.
How to connect
You set up the connection inside your AI app, not inside Memospace. In Memospace, go to Settings, open Integrations and look under Connect an AI. You'll find the address to copy there, and where the setting lives in each app.
- Claude: press Open Claude. It opens Claude's connector dialog with the address filled in. Press Add.
- ChatGPT: go to Plugins, press +, then Add custom MCP server. Paste the address under Connection and choose OAuth. Install the plugin before you use it in a chat.
- Grok: go to Connectors, then New connector, then Custom, and paste the address.
Claude Code and Codex connect with one terminal command each, and VS Code and Cursor with an install link each.
The first time you connect, you'll be asked to sign in to Memospace. Nothing can read or change your workspace until you do.
A note on ChatGPT
To save things into Memospace from ChatGPT, you need a ChatGPT Business, Enterprise or Edu plan. On a personal plan, ChatGPT can read your workspace but can't write to it. That's down to how OpenAI is rolling this out.
What your AI can do
Once connected, your AI can search your workspace, list and read boards, and save notes, documents, tasks and files. It can build a whole board, create and duplicate boards and cards, update them, connect two cards, and delete a card.
It can't delete a document or a board, and it can't share anything.
Where its work shows up
Everything your AI creates lands in your Inbox, not on a board. You decide where it goes by dragging it out. Your AI can't see which board you're looking at.
Each card it makes is marked with the name of the assistant that made it, and the conversation it came from when that was recorded. The name comes from how the app registered when you connected it. So if you connect through another tool, like Cursor, you'll see that tool's name instead.
Sending files
Files your AI sends are capped at about 180 KB. For longer writing, ask it to make a document instead.
